Vortex Capital Group Ltd. (“VCG”) is a proprietary trading firm based in downtown Toronto and focused on various trading strategies across multiple markets and asset classes.
VCG specializes on trading US Equities and Futures including commodities. Our traders are focused on developing and deploying various trading algorithms based on multiple variables which are continuously evolving and updated to reflect the dynamic market conditions of today. Moreover, risk management is a top priority at our firm as each individual factor has a significant impact on the firm’s overall strategy.
We provide our traders access to the firm’s capital and multiple ECN’s with ‘Direct Market Access’ at highly competitive institutional fee structures to enable them to maximize trading profits.
Principal Trading Program
VCG’s Principal Traders trade exclusively for the firm’s own account and trading lines are based upon experience and performance. Our traders are encouraged to transact business in any sector they choose and are expected to demonstrate exceptional risk management skills at all times.
Traders at VCG receive a fixed payout of their net trading profits. Individual payouts are not tied to the performance of other traders at the firm.
Principal Trading Groups
Domestic – VCG’s domestic equity traders are focused exclusively on US Equities and Options, and each employs his or her own unique trading style.
International Equities – Traders on our International Desk trade Equities, Options and Foreign Exchange instruments in both Developed and Emerging Markets worldwide. Just as our domestic traders have a unique trading style, so do our International colleagues.
Commodities – Including Crude, Natural Gas, PGM’s, Precious and Base Metals — are traded on a physical and financial basis. Our commodities group trades outright, forwards and options in any cleared product, while maintaining a large global network.
